Overview

When you first log in as a Client Admin, the TGA dashboard shows a setup checklist that walks you through everything needed to start managing token grants. Complete all 6 steps to fully configure your organization.

Step 1: Add Employees to People Directory

Upload your employees who will receive token grants. You can add them one at a time or upload a CSV.

Open the Add Employees modal

Click Upload next to “Add employees to people directory” in the checklist. The Add Employees modal opens.

Choose your method

  • Manual Entry tab: Add employees one by one — enter First name, Last name, and Email address. Click Add Another to add more rows.
  • CSV Upload tab: Upload a spreadsheet with columns for first name, last name, email, and optional fields like department, country, and external employee ID.

Submit

Click Add Employees to save. The step is marked complete and the button changes to Manage.
API: Use Create User Role in Org to add employees programmatically, or Batch Update Roles for bulk operations.

Step 2: Create a Grant Configuration

Define what type of token grants your organization issues.

Open the Create Grant Type modal

Click Create next to “Create a grant configuration” in the checklist. The Create Grant Type modal opens.

Select a grant type

Choose from:
  • RTU — Restricted Token Unit: Tokens subject to vesting and restrictions
  • RTA — Restricted Token Award: Token awards with conditional restrictions
  • Token Bonus — Performance-based token rewards
  • TPA — Token Purchase Agreement: Agreements for token purchases
  • Other — Enter a custom grant type name

Confirm

Click Create Grant Type to save. The step is marked complete and the button changes to Manage. You can create additional grant types later from Grants → Grant Configurations.
API: Use List Grant Configurations to retrieve your configurations.

Step 3: Configure Vesting Schedules

Set up how tokens vest over time using pre-built templates or a custom schedule. Pre-built templates:

Open the Configure Vesting Schedule modal

Click Create next to “Configure vesting schedules” in the checklist. The Configure Vesting Schedule modal opens showing all available templates.

Select a template

Click on a pre-built template card to immediately create it, or click Custom Schedule to open the full vesting builder and define your own tranches.
Selecting a template immediately saves the schedule. The step is marked complete and the button changes to Manage.

Step 4: Create Grants for Employees

Assign token grants to your employees. This step unlocks after completing steps 1–3.

Open the Create Grants modal

Click Upload next to “Create grants for employees” in the checklist. The Create Grants modal opens.

Add grants

  • Manual Entry tab: Fill in per-employee grant fields:
    • Employee Email — select from your people directory
    • Grant Name — defaults to current quarter (e.g. “Q1 2026 Grant”)
    • Grant Amount — number of tokens
    • Grant Type — e.g. RTU Grant
    • Asset Type — TOKEN or FIAT
    • Vesting Start Date — defaults to today
    • Grant Date — defaults to today
    • Grant Currency — defaults to USD
    • Vesting Template — select from your configured schedules
    • Section 83(b) Eligible — Yes or No
  • CSV Upload tab: Upload a spreadsheet with the above fields for bulk grant creation.
Click Add Another Grant to add multiple grants in one submission.

Submit

Click Create Grants to save all grants.
API: Use Add Single Grant or Create Grant for New Hire to create grants programmatically.

Step 5: Set Up Wallet Settings

Configure which blockchain networks and token contract your organization uses for settlements.

Open Wallet Settings

Click Set Up next to “Set up wallet settings” in the checklist. The Wallet Settings modal opens with two sections: Networks and Token Contract Address.

Select networks

Click one or more network pills to add them. Supported networks: Ethereum, Base, Solana, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, or Custom.Added networks appear as a list below the pills. Click the trash icon to remove a network.

Set your token contract address

Enter your token’s contract address in the Token Contract Address field and click Save. This is used for distributions and wallet verification.

Close

Click Close to exit the modal. The step is marked complete and the button changes to Manage.

Step 6: Connect Custody Integration

Connect your custody provider for secure token distribution.

Open the Connect Custody Integration modal

Click Connect next to “Connect custody integration” in the checklist. The Connect Custody Integration modal opens.

Select a custody provider

Choose one of the four options:

Anchorage Digital

Institutional-grade custody for digital assets with Anchorage Digital.

Fireblocks

Secure digital asset infrastructure for custody, transfer, and settlement.

Safe (Gnosis)

Multi-signature smart contract wallet for secure on-chain custody.

Off Platform

Manage custody independently outside of the Toku platform.

Enter credentials (Anchorage, Fireblocks, or Safe)

Follow the inline setup dialog for your chosen provider. You’ll need API keys and configuration details from your custody account. The system verifies the connection before saving.
Off Platform allows you to acknowledge that custody is managed outside of Toku without providing integration credentials. This is suitable for organizations handling settlements independently.

After Setup

Once all 6 steps are complete (100%), the checklist can be dismissed and you have full access to:

Create, edit, terminate, and bulk upload grants

Distributions

Manage vesting, settlements, and token distributions

Wallets

Manage recipient wallets and verification

Reports

Grant reports, activity logs, and compliance
