# Getting Started

> Get started as a contractor on Toku

## Welcome to Toku

You've been invited to join Toku by a company that wants to work with you. This guide will help you complete onboarding and get paid.

## Completing Onboarding

    Click the link in your invitation email to get started.

    Set up your Toku account with your email and a secure password.

    Read the contractor agreement carefully before signing.

    Agree to the terms and sign the contract electronically.

  <Step title="Add payment information">
    Enter your payment details (bank account, PayPal, or crypto wallet).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Complete verification">
    Provide any required identity or tax documentation.
  </Step>

## Your Dashboard

After onboarding, your dashboard shows:

* **Active engagements** — Companies you're working with
* **Pending invoices** — Invoices awaiting approval
* **Payment history** — Past payments received
* **Documents** — Contracts and tax forms

## Payment Methods

You can receive payments via:

* **Bank Transfer** — Direct deposit to your bank account
* **PayPal** — Instant transfers
* **Crypto** — Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.
* **Stablecoin** — USDC, USDT

Set up your preferred payment method in **Settings** > **Payment Methods**.

## Getting Paid

The typical payment flow:

1. You submit an invoice for work completed
2. Your client reviews and approves
3. Payment is processed via your chosen method
4. You receive confirmation when payment is sent
